What’s your name & where are you from?
Russell Quirk CEO & Founder at Emoov

Three words to describe yourself?
Indefatigable, tenacious, creative

What has been your biggest success in your life so far?

That my four kids are all cleverer and more sporty than I was at their ages

What’s your biggest failure?
Falling out with family over business and not resolving the issues sooner

If you weren’t doing your job you do today, what would you do?
I’d run a PR agency

Who would be your mystery dinner guest (dead or alive) & why?
Margaret Thatcher. We owe modern entrepreneurialism to her

If you were to win the lottery what would be the FIRST thing you’d do?
Take an uninterrupted holiday

What’s your favourite book/blog/website to read?
Black-Box Thinking – Mathew Syed

What’s the silliest thing you have ever done?
Got elected to local government. A pointless charade

What was the biggest EUREKA moment in your life so far?
That estate agency sector customers no longer had to be held to ransom by archaic
practices and expensive premises passed on as ‘necessary for success’

If you were to die tomorrow, what advice would you leave to the world?
Becoming ‘a founder’ is now seen as the new ‘brain surgeon’ or ‘astronaut’. Stick to
lobotomies and space… they’re easier!
